Frosty Gingerbread Cottage Pincushion
This is a Wits End Gingerbread Cottage, home to someone who loves to bake and whose favorite time of year is Winter. This sweet gingerbread cottage has a frosty roof with a freshly fallen covering of snow in the form of a little white cotton doily. On the roof, sits Benedict, a robin from the Enchanted Forest (hence the spotted chest!). Every side of the cottage has a welcoming glowing window and frosty flowers and plants. For the roof, each tile was individually cut and stitched in place using a mixture of wool felt, glitter felt (it's ok, the glitter does not come off) and felted wool fabric.
This little cottage measures approximately 3 inches by 2 inches and stands 2.75 inches tall. I've added a piece of sturdy stabilizer to the base of the cottage to keep it stable. Each little felt shape is individually cut by hand and then carefully stitched in place. All felt used is 100% wool and my pincushions are stuffed with premium ultra plush polyester stuffing.
