Strawberry Patch Needlebook
This Needlebook accompanies the Strawberry Patch pincushion.
Strawberries have a very short season in the little English village of Wits End and the last ones of the year have the sweetest flavor (if you can get to them before they are nibbled by Luna Rabbit and her friends!). This needlebook celebrates late Summer when the berries have a heady fragrance and taste divine dipped in chocolate with some whipped cream or boiled up to make the most delicious jam to slather on scones.
But I digress. The main cover of this needlebook is a joyful light green. Onto that I've appliquéd a square of black felt with a lovely strawberry plant on it. The strawberry plant has both flowers and fruit on it. The three dimensional strawberries are securely attached but definitely not designed to be played with by small people or fur babies. The pages inside the needlebook are pale pink and there are three of them, plenty of space to organize all your assorted needles! All the small felt shapes are individually cut out by hand and then carefully stitched in place. The felt I use is 100% wool. This needlebook measures 4 inches by 3.5 inches.
