Cozy Pumpkin Fairy House Pincushion

Every pincushion tells a story.

Pumpkin fairies can be found wherever there are pumpkins to be converted into cozy homes! They are commonly found in Wits End, of course, and especially in the pumpkin patch at the castle on the far side of the Enchanted Forest. Like most fairies, pumpkin fairies are very shy and avoid humans. but you might find a tiny front door in the pumpkins on your porch, if you look very closely. This pincushion has a smoky blue top with a lovely rotund orange pumpkin. And because pumpkin stalks are important (it can't be just me who picks their pumpkins because of the stalks!) this one is long and curved with a squiggly curlicue. The pumpkin has a little fairy door and window. A warm glow shines through the window and I'm sure it is very comfortable inside. Pumpkin fairies are well known in the fairy folk kingdom for their baking skills. On one side of the door as some mushrooms and on the other, some late season flowers still have blooms. The side of this pincushion is very pale blue with another glowing window, red and white mushroom, some grass and flowers and Autumnal leafy stems. The underside is pale pumpkin.

All the little felt shapes are individually cut by hand and carefully stitched in place.

This pincushion measures 3.5 inches in diameter and stands approximately 2.25inches tall.
