The Dragon's Pool Pincushion

Every pincushion tells a story.

On the Eastern edge of the Enchanted Forest, where the land begins to rise up to meet the sky and within view of the sturdy castle with the towers, there is a secluded pool. It is not frequented by forest folk or creatures for it is a dangerous place. The beautiful lush moss and moisture-loving flowers and plants partially obscure the signs of fire, the scorched rocks and singed tree trunks. This is where baby dragons are brought for their first sips of icy cold water. Learning to breathe fire is thirsty work! Inhabitants of the Enchanted Forest stay clear of the beautiful pool for while it is serene now, you can never be sure when a parched dragon is going to flap thirstily in.

This pincushion has a beautiful little pool on the top. The still water shimmers as the morning sun hits the water. A yellow waterlily floats on the surface. The rocks are mossy and between them, flowers and grasses thrive. There are three magical red and white mushrooms around the pool. On the side I've added more mushrooms, flowers and leaves, including some super sparkly sequin flowers. I've used cotton, wool and some lovely silk threads to embroider this pincushion.

This pincushion measures 3.5 inches in diameter and stands approximately 3.25 inches tall (to the top of the mushrooms). It is entirely hand stitched from 100% wool felt and stuffed with premium ultra plush polyester fill. Each small felt shape is individually cut by hand and carefully stitched in place.
