Benedict's Nest pincushion

Every pincushion tells a story.
Benedict and his life partner have foraged to build a sturdy and cozy nest in the crook of a cherry tree branch. The tree has no leaves yet but the blossom is in full flower, scented and full of happy bees. The blossoms protect the nest from predatory birds. For most of the day, either Benedict or his partner sit on the nest to keep it warm. However on a sun-drenched Spring morning, the warm breezes call and they take wing to dip and soar for the sheer pleasure of it. In the nest the three blue eggs are cushioned and safe. Benedict is a robin from the Enchanted Forest which is why he has a red chest with the unusual (for a robin) white spots. On the aqua side of this pincushion you can see the two robins swooping as they enjoy the feel of the warm breeze on their feathers. The underside is rose pink.

This pincushion measures 3.5 inches in diameter and stands approximately 2.25inches tall. It is entirely hand stitched from 100% wool felt and stuffed with premium ultra plush polyester fill.
