"In Stitches" quilt shop pincushion

Wits End is my imaginary little village deep in the English countryside. Beyond the village are the Enchanted forest and Blue Mountains. In Wits End, the line between human and magical realms is blurred and life is the richer for it.

This is In Stitches, a quilt and fabric shop in a centuries old stone cottage, serving the villagers of Wits End and magical inhabitants of the Enchanted Forest - because everyone loves a cozy quilt to snuggle under! In the front window is a pink postage stamp quilt and some bolts of green fabric. Around one side of the cottage is another big store window displaying a medallion quilt. Around the other are two more windows with a flowering plant. A pair of quilts are airing on the washing line in the garden behind the little shop. I think it's highly likely that this is a magical quilt shop which stocks the favorite fabric lines of anyone who enters.

This little cottage measures approximately 3 inches by 2 inches and stands 2.75 inches tall. I've added a piece of sturdy stabilizer to the base of the cottage to keep it stable. Each little felt shape is individually cut by hand and then carefully stitched in place. All felt used is 100% wool and my pincushions are stuffed with premium ultra plush polyester stuffing.
